A village along the drive to Tenwek
This is the entrance to the hospital. About 2 miles down this dirt road is the hospital. I don't know how anyone finds this place. No blue Hospital signs as in the states
A view from atop that dirt road above. Beautiful farmland- many of these people only make an income only a portion of the year so they have to rely on the land for food.
This is the hydroelectric dam that generates the power for the hospital. This is only about a 1/2 mile walk from our guesthouse
Sam and Alex with some new friends: Eathan, Joshua, and Ingrid Anderson. Their dad is an opthamologist filling in for 3 months while the long term missionary is on forlough. He has sold his practice in Minnesota and plans to go to Borneo, Indonesia after leaving Tenwek to start an eye unit in the missionary hospital there.

These are gorgeous pics. I am so happy you guys have had this opportunity. You will all be permanently altered from it. You might as well stay there anyway - our country is going into meltdown!
